All the Real ‘Cucks’ Are In the Republican Party
If you ever had the misfortune of arguing with right-wingers online chances are you’ve probably been called a “cuck” at some point. The term “cuckservative,” shortened as cuck, is an amalgam of the word “cuckold” and “conservative.” It’s supposed to refer to limp-wristed politicians (often conservatives) who allow their countries to be invaded by non-white people. (It can also refer to a submissive man.) This is also a reference to the term “cuckold,” a sexual fetish where men enjoy watching their wives have sex with other men. In the porn world, there is also a sub-genre of “cuck porn,” that involves men watching their partners have sex — often with black men.
Right-wingers love throwing this term around, but like many of their beliefs, the actual truth rings hollow. One thing I’ve learned about conservatives, is many of them don’t believe in their own mantras. Rush Limbaugh built a media empire selling himself as a “red-blooded, family values-loving, conservative American.” But in reality, he’s been married four times, has no children and is a former drug addict who vacationed in a child sex mecca.
Fake Family Values
Bill O’Reilly’s image was that of the old-fashioned, family values, conservative. But the real O’Reilly was a whore mongering, wife beater who was also a serial sexual harasser. And we can’t forget FOX News founder Roger Ailes. He sold conservative “family values” to gullible working-class Americans, even though he was married three times and presided over a network that was a hotbed of sexual harassment.
The term cuck falls into this same category. While some conservatives might revel in using the word, Donald Trump’s presidential campaign harbored at least two practicing “cucks.”
Roger Stone, the self-described libertine, has long had a reputation for having a colorful sex life. He was booted from the Bob Dole presidential campaign after they discovered he was a swinger. (This fact is also documented in the movie “Get Me Roger Stone.”) But Stone and his wife don’t just practice consensual non-monogamy. He’s also a cuckold. Stone used to post ads on Dark Caverns, a website that specializes in arranging sexual encounters with black men.
Stone wasn’t the only Trump supporter who enjoyed this particular fetish. Paul Manafort, the former head of Trump’s campaign team, is also a cuck. According to leaked texts from his daughters, Manafort used to enjoy watching his wife, Kathleen, participate in group sex with black men. This was also reported in a Psychology Today article about men who enjoy sharing their wives.
Paul Manafort’s Proclivities
Even more bizarre is the fact that Stone has a close relationship with the white nationalist domestic terror group, the Proud Boys. The Proud Boys has several members who are affiliated with skinhead groups. The group also serves as Stone’s unofficial security team. I guess none of them use Google?
Stone wasn’t the only Trump supporter who enjoyed this particular fetish. Convicted felon Paul Manafort, the former head of Trump’s campaign team, is also a cuck. According to leaked texts from his daughters, Manafort used to enjoy watching his wife, Kathleen, participate in group sex with black men. This was also reported in a Psychology Today article about men who enjoy sharing their wives.
“Manafort was described as making his wife be with other men, a practice she apparently complied with to make him happy, but found ‘disgusting.’ Like many men involved in cuckolding, Manafort would allegedly wait till the other men, usually black males, had sex with his wife and left, before he had sex with her,” said David J. Ley, Ph.D.
According to Justin Lehmiller’s book, “Tell Me What You Want,” that studied 4,000 sexual fantasies, cuckolding fantasies were more common among Republicans. Democrats favored fantasies involving bondage and discipline and romantic intimacy.
But even worse, Manafort’s wife’s sex acts might not have been entirely consensual. According to his daughters’ texts, Kathleen Manafort was left brain damaged from a riding accident. His daughters claimed Manafort browbeat their mother, who was in a fragile mental state, into participating in these acts.
Secret Desires
So two Trump campaigners, who helped sell Americans on voting for a candidate who stoked racial resentment, were actually participating in acts that played into their voters’ worst fears. However, this wouldn’t be the first time a racist didn’t buy into his own message. Former Sen. Strom Thurmond promoted segregation and hid the fact he fathered a child with an underage black house servant.
So next time a Republican online troll calls you a “cuck,” send them this article and tell them, all the real cucks are in his party. Maybe they’re trying to tell us something about their interests?
“On Twitter, conservative right and alt-right figures erupted as well, leading to one exchange where I suggested to a famous commentator that, as a psychologist, I found the conservative obsession with calling other people ‘cucks’ to suggest projection, and that these conservatives, were themselves, quite interested in this practice,” said Ley.
